Summary
Comet is designed to reduce mental load without surveillance. We collect only what the product needs to function, and we do not scrape third-party platforms.
You own your data. Export is built in. Leaving should be easy.
What we collect
• Account email
• Password hash (never the raw password)
• Product content you manually enter (posts, threads, DM notes, search phrases)
• Basic operational metadata (timestamps for scheduling and follow-ups)
What we do not do
• No scraping
• No auto-posting / auto-commenting / auto-messaging
• No selling of your data
• No ad tracking pixels
• No engagement analytics dashboards
• No notification pressure loops by default
How we use data
We use your data only to provide the features of the product: showing next actions, tracking conversation state, and enabling export.
We do not use your content to “optimize engagement.” The product is opinionated against growth theater.
AI features
AI is designed to assist thinking, not behavior.
Regular users: optional, analysis-only, bring your own API key. No AI writing and no automation.
Admins: AI may generate drafts for manual posting, but nothing is posted automatically and all outputs require human approval.
Export & portability
Export is built in: CSV and JSON. Your data should stay portable.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards: password hashing, session protection, prepared statements, and access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we take protection seriously.
Retention & deletion
Your data remains in your account until you delete it (features may be added later), or until the service is discontinued.
In Phase 1, deletion flows may be manual — export-first ensures you can leave at any time.

Changes
This policy may be updated. Material changes should be communicated on the site.
